If you haven't heard enough about HP and its Pre 3 already then here's some more news about the discontinued smartphone running WebOS. The French style Azerty keyboard model of the Pre 3 sold out six hours after going on sale yesterday.

At 11pm on its web store, HP said, "We have sold out of the current inventory available. We will update this page with further information if and as more inventory becomes available."
This came six hours after the firm announced the phone was available to buy at 5pm with a price of £169. This was £100 more than we had expected going by the firm's refund programme, which priced the Qwerty version of the Pre 3 at £69.

Even at this price the handset sold out, although we don't know how many were available. It might have been 100 or 100,000, but somewhere in between is more likely.
Needless to say the Qwerty keyboard Pre 3 and all models of the Touchpad are still out of stock and not on sale. HP said it will update the page if the phone becomes available again. The update says the Pre 3 is only "temporarily" out of stock, but it's anyone's guess whether it will reappear again or not.
